FOR BURNLEY LIBRARY

John Alfred Laycock and associates made a transcript of the registers of Higham Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, covering baptisms 1813-1839 and burials 1820-1864, which is held at Burnley Library.  This handwritten copy has been typed in tabular format, checked against the original at the Lancashire County Record Office and rearranged in alphabetical order of surname and Christian name.  Burnley Library will make it available in libraries in its area and I have provided copies for the the Lancashire County Record Office, the Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society, The Family Records Centre, They Society of Genealogists, the Burnley & Pendle Branch of the LFH & HS, and Manchester Central Library.

John Alfred Laycock and associates made transcript of the registers of Wheatley Lane Inghamite Chapel from 1750 to 1837, which is held at Burnley Library.  This handwritten copy has been typed and the transcript has been checked against the original registers at the chapel.  Many additional details were uncoverered from the grave notes, which were not covered by Laycock's team. The register has been indexed using the Lancashire Parish Register Society's programme, PRINDEX, written by George Blundell and was completed in September 2006. Burnley Library will make it available to libraries its area and I have provided copies for the the Lancashire County Record Office, the Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society, The Family Records Centre, They Society of Genealogists, the Burnley & Pendle Branch of the LFH & HS and Manchester Central Library.
